GEPES ES

GEPES ES stands for: Research and Study Group about Higher Education in Espírito Santo. It is linked to the Post-graduation in Education Program (original: Post-graduation in Education Program – PPGE) of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). It is also articulated with the GEPES UNICAMP (State University of Campinas), with the aim of integrating research and studies about Higher Education.

The Teaching Profession Research Network (REPPOD) is an interinstitutional and international space for academic cooperation dedicated to the study, training, and production of knowledge about the teaching profession in contexts of diversity. The network was founded on July 15, 2022, in a meeting that brought together researchers from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM), the State University of Bahia (UNEB), and the University for International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB).

The coordination of REPPOD is led by Professor Váldina Gonçalves da Costa (UFTM), with Professor Ana Lúcia Gomes da Silva (UNEB) serving as vice-coordinator. The network is supported institutionally by the Internationalization Office of UNEB (SERINT), the International Cooperation Office of UFTM (ACI), and the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies at UFTM, in addition to the participation of researchers from various Brazilian and international universities.

REPPOD brings together research groups, faculty, students, and institutions interested in understanding and strengthening the teaching profession through integrated actions in research, teaching, outreach, and training. Among the research groups articulating the network are GEPEDUC (UFTM) and DIFEBA (UNEB), respectively affiliated with the PPGE/UFTM and PPGED/UNEB.

The network originated within the collaborative research project “Higher Education and Basic Education in a collaborative network: teacher education in focus,” funded by FAPEMIG since 2019. Since then, it has fostered projects, publications, academic events, and training initiatives aimed at the collective construction of knowledge about teacher education and teaching work.

Among the diverse activities that are promoted and developed by NEPEHTE, there are: extension activities, research on the strategies to foster the use of ICTs in the educational context, consultancy to educational institutions and face-to-face and online courses on how to use technology in the classroom.

Office hours: 2p.m. to 6p.m. (From Monday to Thursday) and from 1p.m. to 5 pm (Friday).
